A brush with death
Written by julio on June 25th, 2009No, sorry, there were no exciting ladder incidents today, but I couldn’t think of another catchy title with the word brush. Instead, you get more pictures of paint. Working with a brush is definitely slow, but I’ve actually been enjoying it in a way. In some ways it feels therapeutic, although too much of it might drive one insane…

The color you chose is wonderful. I would be afraid of a darker color like that but it looks really, really good with your house style.

Looks great but where’s the couch?

I really like the color!! It looks terrific! Oh, yes, working with a brush can be a real pain, can’t it?

Kevin – you will be sad to hear that our neighbor’s couch has been replaced with an Adirondack chair.

Linda/Kristin – thanks. I have always liked darker houses, but I wouldn’t have had the guts without Stephanie. Also, I’ve always been concerned about fading, so I was open to the idea when I learned that the colors supposedly last a really long time with Aura. I don’t want to be doing this again in 5 years!

I love the Caponata color too. I just painted some on my house yesterday to try before I found your site.
i think the sample was a semi gloss interior paint. Are you using flat ?
I’ve was thinking of pairing with Boreal but maybe it might be too much for our paler california landscape

Kathy,
We’re using the low-lustre for the body and semi-gloss for trim.
