At Bungalow Insanity, we put birds on things…

What a sad little outlet…

I know! I’ll put a bird on it!

it's so pretty!

Spruce it up! Make it pretty! This is Portland, after all.

Now that’s what I call art!

FWIW, I really wanted to like that show. All I could do was force a chuckle or two. Too bad. But I like your bird!

I completely understand – I thought it was very hit or miss, but when I find it funny (like “Put a bird on it!”) I find it VERY funny! :)

I’ve only seen the first episode, plus the “Did you read that” trailer (which, by the way was hilarious). I’m hoping for more laughs in the next episode.

I too put birds on things…. since buying this 1932 A&CTR (Arts & Crafts, Tudor-Revival) cottage on the lake, I have put one very tasteful bird in almost every room & every room will have one eventually…. don’t wanna go cat-lady-crazy – they’re all very understated, very non-kitschy. But I do suppose, isn’t doing this, with tack or without tack, still kinda kitschy?, don’t care/like the bird idea/am going to copy yours! Thanks.

    Hello there~
I just found your blog and I’m loving it. My family and I just about to close on a bungalow style home here in Florida and I’m looking for inspiration…
You have a great site and I’m looking forward to following along.

Where did you get the little stencil or stick on? It’s adorable and adds such a nice little touch!

    Hi Laura,

It’s a vinyl wall decal. We ordered a larger wall decal from Etsy for the playroom (which I still need to post photos of on the blog) and the bird was included as free/bonus gift. My daughters wanted to hang it and we agreed their bathroom would be a good spot. It wasn’t actually planned, but they like it! :)
